So, you have created a beautiful newsletter through Smore, or another newsletter-creation service, and you want to send it to your entire school...now what? Thankfully, you can now easily send your newsletters through our updated Notify feature. Let's walk through it together.
How to Get HTML Code to Embed a Smore Newsletter in Notify
Smore offers two HTML options to copy, and each behaves differently once pasted into Notify's embed email block. For most cases, we recommend the Mass Notification System HTML, since it delivers the full newsletter right into the recipient's inbox.
Recommended: Mass Notification System HTML

In Smore, open your newsletter in Editor, and choose the Share on Mass Notification System option

Copy the HTML code.
Note: Smore customers, please uncheck the box to 'Use standard HTML' prior to copying the code so that your message will paste into Notify correctly.
- In Notify, paste it into the embed email block.
You'll see a preview of your full newsletter directly in the email block. Recipients receive an email with the complete newsletter embedded inside — no extra clicks needed.
Alternative: Website/Blog HTML
- In Smore, select the website/blog embed HTML and copy it.
- In Notify, paste it into the embed email block.
Because website embed code can't display inside an email, Notify automatically converts your newsletter into a tappable preview image. You'll see a notice confirming this, along with an example of the image in the email frame. Recipients receive the preview image, and tapping it opens the full newsletter in their browser.
Which should I use?
If you want recipients to see the full newsletter directly in their inbox, use the Mass Notification System HTML. If you'd prefer, they tap through to view it in a browser; the website/blog HTML works too.
Embedding your Newsletter in Notify
Once you have the HTML code, you can log into SchoolStatus and click on the 'Notify Message Center' left menu item.
Paste HTML Code into Notify
- Within Notify, select your audience and then select 'Email' as your method of communication.
- From here, please click on the 'Edit HTML Source' button within the formatting widget that looks like this: </>

Paste your HTML Code in the composer
- Click the HTML Code button again to save the newsletter in your message. Finish the process of sending or scheduling your Notify message
