When you need to send a district-wide, school-wide, grade-level, or special group message that does not warrant a reply, Notify is for you!
Send a new Notify text, email, and/or call
Step 1. Start by clicking on Notify from the left menu, which will take you to the Notify Message Center.
- Toggle between the Sent/Scheduled tabs
- Use the Advanced Filters to narrow down your search results
- Each column can now be sorted
- Search by Sender or Title of the Notify message
- Select New Message on the top right to compose a new message.
Step 2. Select your audience. Selecting School Staff may be an option if your district has provided staff contact details to us. Select the school(s) and grade level(s). District-level accounts will have the option to send to one, some, or all schools; school-level accounts will be limited in scope.
You can use the Update Estimate button at the bottom to refresh the contacts counter. To learn more about the Contacts count, click here.
Step 3. Create a Message Name, choose Standard or Emergency, and select a delivery method to begin your message. You can click the Save as Draft button at any time in this process to avoid starting over.
There are 3 delivery methods: Text, Email, or Call.
- Pro-tips: Click "Which do I choose?" to learn about when to send Emergency messages.
- If you select 'Text' as the only method, but the parent number is a non-textable or landline number, the message will fail over to an automated voice call.
- Note that Texts will quickly reach most parents, generally, but Emails allow photos and links.
- Click Call to record or upload an audio file.
Step 4. Click Next: Translate Message to proceed.
Use the toggle to turn on Translation, and you will be prompted to review and approve the translations. When ready, click Next: Delivery Options.
Step 5. Delivery Options give you the choice to send immediately or to schedule for a date and time of your choosing. Click Confirm to review your choices and get ready to send.
If you scheduled this message for a later delivery, you can find it in the Scheduled tab of the Notify Message Center. When ready, click the Next: Review & Send button to continue.
Step 6: Review & Send: Review your message to ensure your content, attachments, links, and audience are correct. If you need to make changes, use the Back button or click any previous step in the left-hand navigation. Note: You can only use the step numbers to navigate backward. To return to the final step, continue using the Next buttons.
How to Edit Scheduled Notify Messages.
Open the Notify Message Center and click on Scheduled at the top left. You should see a green Edit button to the far right. Simply click the pencil icon to Edit and make your changes, or click the trash bin icon to Delete the scheduled message.
