Where does the contact info come from?
SchoolStatus syncs with your Student Information System (SIS) nightly. We pick up changes in parent contact numbers as well as attendance, discipline, grades, and schedules.
Why can't I make changes to contacts right in SchoolStatus?
At SchoolStatus, we believe there should be one single source of truth for student data, and that's your district's SIS. Since we can't "push" corrections to your SIS, if a contact number is correct in SchoolStatus and not in the SIS, it would be confusing.
What if I know this number is wrong? How do I let my school admin know?
You can use Contact Flagging to flag numbers in SchoolStatus as incorrect or no longer working. Then, the person in charge of updating contact info in your student information system will be notified, and they can "unflag" when the changes have been made. How do I add a Parent/Guardian Contact?
We’re unable to add, change, or delete contact information. Please submit these requests to your school, which will update the details in your SIS. The updates will appear on their Student Card in Classic after the nightly sync, typically by the next school day.
