SchoolStatus users can mute incoming texts.
Don't want a particular parent texts you? A SchoolStatus user can "mute" a parent who is texting by using these steps:
- Click Messages on the bottom of the screen
- Find and click the conversation between you and that parent
- Click the "Mute" button on that conversation. You'll see the word change to "Unmute."
- To reverse the mute feature, simply click "Unmute."
When you mute the parent's incoming texts, SchoolStatus sends a reply message stating, "Our records indicate that your number has been blocked by ___(teacher name)____. Please contact ___(district name)____ to discuss this scenario." This serves as a professional sounding way to discourage parents from sending unnecessary messages to the teacher.
