Email delivery status is returned from host email servers, indicating whether delivery was successful. However, this is not an immediate process and the delivery status may take up to 24 hours to populate.
Where to view sent emails
To view a sent email, go to the Student Card—Engagement of the student whose contact received it.
You'll also be able to view messages through your standard email Sent folder. When a parent responds to your email, it will appear in your regular email inbox (Gmail, Office365, etc.). As long as you respond to that email in the existing email thread, it will be logged in SchoolStatus on the Student Card—Engagement.
You'll recognize the logged conversation with a unique conversation identifier as the recipient. Not to worry - this is what allows the conversation to be logged in SchoolStatus.
How to check the delivery status of an email
To check the delivery status of an email, go to History on your left-side menu. The status is tracked for every outbound email sent through SchoolStatus on the backend.
Note: Please know it can take up to 24 hours for the status to update in History.
Understanding email delivery status
Delivered - The receiving mail server accepted the message.
Undelivered - The receiving email server is temporarily unavailable.
Opened - The recipient has opened the email.
Failed - The email could not be delivered.
Dropped - Previous emails have bounced, been unsubscribed to, or been reported as spam and thus will not be delivered.
