When you need to send a district-wide, school-wide, grade-level, or special group message that does not warrant a reply, Notify is for you!
Sending a call, text, or email (or a combination)
Start by clicking on Notify Message Center from the left menu.
Next, select New Message on the top right.
Now, select your audience. If you have a district-level account, you'll have the option to send to all schools. If you have a single school or only a few schools assigned, you'll only be able to select from those schools as your audience.
Watch as the Current target audience count updates to know how many recipients will be sent the message. Next, click Compose Message to proceed.
Select your Message Name and Method. Naming your message helps others see what content you're communicating.
Begin your message. Pro-tip: This article explains more about avoiding copy/paste and formatting issues.
Use the Start button to record a verbal message to be sent by phone call. Pro-tip: If you select only 'text' as the method and the text fails due to being a landline or non-textable number, the message will fail over to an automated voice call.
To proceed, click Language Setup or Save as Draft.
Using the auto-translate option
If choosing the auto-translate feature, the next screen shows each language translation and how many recipients will receive the message in that language.
Select either Auto Translate or English Only. If you're ready to proceed, click Schedule Delivery. If you need to do more customized translations, click Save as Draft.
If you're ready with the translations, select either Immediately or Schedule for later.
If you're ready, select Send!
Using the Draft Tool for Language Editing
If you want to edit individual language translations, select Save as Draft.
To find your draft, select Notify Draft Center from the left menu. Then select your draft by clicking anywhere in the row.
Go straight to Compose Message.
If you need to make changes, make them or click on Language Setup.
Click on individual languages and make changes in the box. If the language is ready, check the box for Save this language draft.
How to Edit Scheduled Notify Messages. Open Notify Message Center and click on Scheduled at the top center. You should see a green Edit button to the far right. Simply click Edit and make your changes. To save, click Update and then confirm by clicking Yes.
Once all languages are approved, the message can be sent, scheduled to send, or kept in draft by selecting Done.
