The Sneak Peek module allows users to view Proficiency and Growth values by student, school, and district.
Where is the module?
You can find it located on the main left menu under Accountability. If you do not have the menu item, contact your district admin to request access.
Where does the data come from?
We retrieve data from Questar/NWEA, DRC, and/or directly from districts using upload.schoolstatus.com.
In order for us to display your data, we must have been given access. If you see 'No Results', 'Trouble Loading Data', or limited data, it means we are missing data. Get with your district staff to ensure your data is accessible.
How do I use the module?
Depending on your school or district scope, you'll see the Proficiency and Growth bar charts for your school or district, illustrating the total students in each category. To view individual student data, scroll to the Student Detail section.
Proficiency and Growth Totals
Due to limited data releases at this time, our estimates are restricted to proficiency and growth estimates.
You will see composite score estimates by subject for proficiency and growth and growth LPS. We also provide a breakdown of performance and growth by school. Student details are included in the view, which you may export for additional filtering and analysis.
Proficiency and Growth Breakdown
Hover over each area of the chart to see the number of students in each performance or growth category. Click that area to return a list of student names comprising the n-count in the category. Use the school and test toggles at the top of the screen to isolate a single school or test.
Student Detail
Use the column headers to sort your data. Placing your cursor to the right of any column header will allow you to sort that column in ascending or descending order.
Hold down the Shift key to sort by multiple variables.
Use the 'Tile actions' button on the far-right-upper corner of any tile on the dashboard to explore the data from within the reporting platform or to download the data directly to your computer.
If you have a very large school or district, be sure to select the 'Advanced data options' dropdown before downloading data to ensure all observations are exported:
Student Card
Click on any student's name to display their Student Card. Click Assessment from the Student Card and use the dropdown to select MAAP (or any other assessment you have). Click Contacts to engage with parents and guardians. Here's how.
