The Feedbak teacher observation and evaluation tool allows for custom rubric creation! If your school or district has a custom rubric you'd like to add to Feedbak, here's your guide.
Note: To create rubrics, your account must have the 'Feedbak Admin' module assignment.
What is the overall structure required?
In order to input your rubric, it must fit within a specified framework. Here's how that looks:
- Domains
- Standards
- Indicators of Performance Level (this part is optional but recommended)
- Standards
Example:
- Engaging Classroom (Domain)
- Creates an interesting environment for students (Standard)
- teacher is excellent at this standard (Level 4 performance)
- teacher is pretty good at this standard (Level 3 performance)
- teacher is not very good at this standard (Level 2 performance)
- teacher is not good at all at this standard (Level 1 performance)
- Actively involves students in learning (Standard)
- excellent at this standard (Level 4)
- pretty good (Level 3)
- not very good (Level 2)
- not good at all (Level 1)
- Creates an interesting environment for students (Standard)
And so forth through the rest of your Domains, Standards, and Indicators of Performance.
Got it, let's build the rubric!
Start at the Feedbak menu on the web. Click Rubrics. Remember, you must have the Feedbak Admin Module to add custom rubrics. If you don't have this module, contact support at help@schoolstatus.com.
Next, click New Rubric.
Fill in the details for your rubric.
Enter your domain title and a description. Then click + Add Domain.
Now, add standards to your domain. Click + Add Standard.
Then add a standard name and description. We'll use the standard title as the tag so keep that in mind when you're naming your standards.
Now, add your Indicators of Performance Level. Add each one in the box and click the save icon for each one.
Continue to add standards, indicators, and domains to your rubric in the same method. When finished, click Save a the top of the screen.
And you're done! Now observers can select your rubric when doing observations on their iPads or on the web. Click here to see the new observation structure for Feedbak.
