At SchoolStatus, we know communication with teachers is key BEFORE communicating with parents! The following is a template you or your principals can use to introduce your staff to SchoolStatus.
Scenario 1: Teacher Accounts Have Not Yet Been Created
Before SchoolStatus accounts have been created, you can let your staff know it will be happening soon. This helps prevent teachers from deleting Welcome emails from SchoolStatus, which they need to finalize their account setup. Copy and paste this email text, if you like, to announce SchoolStatus to your staff!
Email from Principals to Teachers about SchoolStatus before the date that accounts are created:
We are about to begin using a new program called SchoolStatus! SchoolStatus gives you easy access to student data and allows you to communicate with parents without giving out your cell phone number.
Please let me know if you have any questions, or you can email SchoolStatus support at help@schoolstatus.com. |
Scenario 2: Teachers have accounts, but may not have logged in yet
Although it's best to announce to teachers before accounts are created, you can still give them the information they need after accounts are created. They may have already deleted their Welcome email, but that's ok! Copy and paste the below email to announce SchoolStatus to you staff even if it's been a while since their accounts were created!
Email from Principals to Teachers about SchoolStatus after accounts are created:
We are using a program called SchoolStatus at our district! SchoolStatus will let you access student data easily and it will let you call and text parents without giving out your cell phone number. Login here if you already know your password. If not, you should have received a Welcome email from SchoolStatus to create an account. The email will have a link that will let you create a password. Your school email address will be your username. If you can't find the email, that's ok. Visit https://secure.schoolstatus.com/login and click forgot password to set your password via email.
