GeoVision shows your students on a map.
GeoVision allows educators to view a group of students on a map, which can reveal trends in environmental factors and geographical dynamics that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.
GeoVision is no longer a stand-alone option in our left-side menu, but don't let that fool you; GeoVision is still on our team, working for you. It's now called Searchlight, and you'll find it under the Utilities section on the left side menu.
Users who already have the module still have the ability to see students on a map where the utility is being employed, and you can still give permission to users to see students on a map by assigning the module. If you manage or create accounts, you may have noticed that it is still an option when you are assigning modules.
Decide which students you want to see.
To see students on a map, choose a Searchlight list and click 'Map' to see that group of students represented by home address.
No Searchlight? No problem.
If you don't have a Searchlight list ready, you'll want to create one using the steps in helpful article.
