Important News for Mississippi school districts regarding MDE summative scoring submission:
UPDATED 6/2019: MDE has set June 30, 2019 as their submission deadline. SchoolStatus Users with Summative Score Submission access can submit district TGR scores instantly to MDE SharePoint through SchoolStatus. When MDE created their pre-populated spreadsheet format and made it available, we updated our submission tool, so that your submitted files will reflect the newly correct format.
At SchoolStatus, your professional growth needs matter to us.
Ultimately, each school district is responsible for complying with state and federal requirements, but we want to help- it's what we do. At SchoolStatus, we aim to make classroom observation, summative scoring and submitting those scores as convenient as possible for our users. Here's how our tools can help you complete your submission process.
1. Confirm that all TGR observed teachers have a completed score.
Schools: Use the Scoring Dashboard to view and complete TGR summative scores for your TGR teachers. Note that teachers will receive a score notification when the score is completed. (Scorers: Follow these instructions to create summative scores, or to edit or delete pending scores.)

A Note to School Administrators: All you have to do is a) confirm which educators your district wants you to score with the TGR rubric, and b) create scores for them; there is no "send" process for you. The scores you create are automatically visible to your district, and the district sends your TGR scores to MDE for you.
2. Check Your Scoring Progress Page
Schools and Districts: Use the Scoring Progress page to see where you stand on completed scores for each school. This page does not have to be at 100% for you to submit; it simply shows you how many of the educators you have listed as "observable" have been scored.
(Tip: if you have a classroom assistant, bus driver, office worker or cafeteria helper listed in SchoolStatus as an observable teacher, they will appear as an "unscored" teacher. If they are not a TGR-scorable educator, having them appear here will not effect your submission process, but feel free to contact help@schoolstatus.com for assistance in clearing them from your progress roster.)

3. Districts: Check the Scoring Submission page to review scores.
* 2018-19 Scores must be in MDE Sharepoint by June 30, 2019. *
When you click Scoring Submission, you'll see this pop-up notice from us:

Use the Overall Progress section. This is where you can check to see how close you are to being ready to submit. You can also view by School Name, or hide School Graphs to see Overall Progress again.
The progress band shows only the TGR scores that MDE has said that it will require in its current Professional Growth description. If you have completed scores in rubrics that are not required for submission, they will not show up as "progress" in your progress percentage. Districts can proceed to submit the scores without 100% of these progress bars being filled, as long as you have confirmed that all of your required scores are completed.

Blank Educator ID numbers must be completed. To resolve missing ID numbers, select Show Missing (under the "Educator ID" heading) for a short list. These may be blank because the teacher has a different name/surname in your system than what is on their teaching license. There could also be multiple state-certified teachers with the same name. (Tip: You can select a school from the dropdown, or see All Schools.)

Next to the educator's name, click the blue pencil icon to type the correct number in manually, and click the green disc icon to save, OR click the MDE search button. When you click MDE Search, you'll go directly to the MDE Teacher License Look-up page.

4. TIME TO SUBMIT: Under "Actions", choose "Send Scores to MDE"
**Only district-level administrators have the ability to send scores to MDE.**
Click Actions, and select "Send Scores to MDE" to send your district's CSV spreadsheet file to your MDE Sharepoint folder.
Please note: in years past, MDE required a separate file for each school. In 2018-19, only one district file is required.

HOW CAN I MAKE SURE OUR SCORE FILE HAS BEEN SUBMITTED?
In SchoolStatus: A timestamp displays on the Scoring Submission page, to indicate when scores have been successfully submitted, and by whom.
In your MDE SharePoint file: After you have completed the SchoolStatus submission steps, you can log into your MDE Sharepoint account and view your uploaded files there.

WHAT IF I SUBMIT- AND THEN REALIZE THAT I NEED TO MAKE A CORRECTION?
Each time you use SchoolStatus Scoring Submission to send your scores to MDE, a new CSV file uploads and replaces any and all previous versions in SharePoint. You can submit as many times as you like before June 30, 2019.
