Broadcast Messaging allows users to send messages to multiple recipients, while still keeping your cell number private. It's like a group message, but replies come back as 1 to 1 conversations between the contact and educator who sent the message.
Here are the details on Broadcast Messaging from our web platform!
Make sure your Preferred Contacts have been selected
Okay, so technically this is not a Broadcast step- but it has to be completed in order for your Broadcast to reach the parents who need to see it. Every student who will receive Broadcast messages has to have at least one parent "starred." You'll only have to do this once! If you have a lot of contacts who need marking, you may want to get other educators involved. Teachers tend to know the contacts of their students better than anyone.
For detailed instructions on how to mark stars on contacts read the article How To Star Preferred Contacts
Check your Settings
You may want to check your notifications Settings, to make sure you'll know when you have a text or call.
