Viewing student data points in a geospatial perspective is a powerful concept, because some challenges that principals and teachers are faced with start outside the campus boundaries. Using Searchlight in conjunction with Maps, educators can identify location-based issues and detect trends and patterns in community dynamics that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.
Data Plotting allows you to see points representing student data in geographic detail.
The example below shows students with a combination of 3+ absences and 2 infractions, plotted on a map by home address. The yellow dot shows where most of them live.
Zoom in for a less concentrated look at the same data over that area.
