For our friends in Tennessee, you can now view aggregate TCAP results in a module, and view that data on individual Student Cards. Let's start with the module.
Using the TCAP Module
Start by clicking TCAP in your left menu under Assessment.
You'll be viewing all the TCAP results for students within your scope today. That means if you teach 6th grade only, you'll only see your current 6th graders here and their scores from 2017 (probably 5th grade unless they were retained).
If you have access to an entire school or district, you'll see all those students here in the Student Detail.
There are a few options for filtering this data. Use the drop-downs to filter by Subject or School. Use the column headings for other types of filters and sorts.
Filtering by Columns
You can select any column heading to sort or filter. Use the Arrows to sort ascending or descending. Use the Funnel to filter.
Let's say we want to see only current 6th graders' Math scores. Click the Funnel. A filter box will emerge next. Select Show only rows where and change the drop-down to Equals. For 6th grade, I'll type '6'. And click OK.
Next, you'll see only the current 6th graders. Then select in the drop-down at the top of the screen to select Math.
Once you have the data displayed the way you want, use the Export button to export results to CSV, PDF, or XLS.
To see the TCAP results on a Student Card, simply click on any name within the display.
Be sure to select 2017 in the drop-down, because assessments are listed on the Student Card in the year the test was taken. Then navigate to the the TCAP tab.
But don't stop there, now reach out to a parent to let them know how their child is doing in your class. Check out this article to learn more about calling parents.
